*** Christian Academy Closed for this Year *** Mission Pastor Terry McCaskill, Sr. founded Mt. Sinai Baptist Church on June 28, 1992 in Pendleton, SC. Today, Mt. Sinai Baptist Church is one that reaches communities in five different locations. These locations are followed and are listed in order of establishment: Pendleton, Spartanburg, Greenville, Greenwood, and Lavonia GA. Pastor Terry McCaskill Sr has a heart to reach the youth of our surrounding communities and Nation. Mt. Sinai Christian Academy is an interdenominational Christian school, and is a non-profit organization that accepts no assistance from the state or federal government. Mt. Sinai Christian Academy originates from the Summer Academy Program which began in June 1993 as well as the After School Program which began in May 1997. Since the beginning of the first year, the number of participants in the program has increased significantly. God has truly provided and will continue to provide, for the vision that he has placed in his servant, Pastor Terry McCaskill, Sr. The Academy is located in Spartanburg, SC and uses the facilities of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Mission Statement The mission of Mt. Sinai Christian Academy is to train up the whole child to enable them to reach their full potential in Christ by providing a safe, quality enriched educational environment which is conducive to learning, while promoting academic, social, and spiritual excellence. The philosophy of Mt. Sinai Christian Academy is that our children need salvation, education, and recreation to operate as an effective and complete creation. Purpose The purpose of Mt. Sinai Christian Academy is to motivate youth in the community and I n the church to progress in education, and to build positive relationships with other people. The key purpose is training the "the whole child". We are responsible for providing our children with a safe, spiritual, emotional, and physical environment. Prov. 22:6 "train up a child in the way the he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it". |
